Big Bend

Impromptu trips to get out and explore is one of my favorite things to do as a photographer. To be able to explore a place I have never been like Big Bend National Park in Texas was a really fun weekend challenge. I set out with my buddy and coworker Glenn Rodgers (http://www.rodgerswithad.com) set out on a Friday afternoon, drove the 8 hours to get out the park and set up camp overnight under the stars. We set out the next day under a light sprinkle of rain and trekked the 9 miles to the South Rim of the park where we could overlook some epic Chisos Mountains. We camped overnight on the trail and got up for an epic sunrise on Sunday morning and then got back home around 8 pm Sunday night. We pushed ourselves and our photography while we were out there and it was a truly unforgettable trip.
