24 Hours In Austin

This was the first major video project I ever worked on. I worked with my roommate in college to handle all the pre-production planning of this crazy idea we had. We needed to plan out what equipment we needed, the people we could convince to help us, how we were gonna raise money, when we were going to do it. Everything was on us and we only wanted to do it to see if we even could.

We ultimately got our gear list set, launched our Kickstarter page and got fully funded, planned the date with everyone and convinced them this would be fun. We set out to shoot from sun up to sun down and produce an entire film in 24 hours in Austin Texas. Now all we had to do was shoot it.

We had a crew of 12 total high school friends, 10 cameras, 15 lenses, a homemade timelapse rig, a custom built computer to importing footage and more gatorade than you should ever drink in a single day. It was on a July day in Texas in 2011 which meant it was a scorcher but we had a goal and we needed to accomplish it.

We were fortunate enough to have a musician friend actually compose the music for this video. It took about a month and half to fully edit the piece but, this is something every person could be truly proud of and I hope you enjoy
